Responsible gambling

The allwin.lviv.ua editorial team believes that a good review of an operator is incomplete without an honest conversation about the risks that come with gambling. Bets and slots can be a pleasant way to spend free time, but only as long as the player keeps control of their money, their time and their emotions. This section is a practical guide meant to help you stay on the safe side.

Building a bankroll

A properly defined gambling budget is the first and most important barrier between entertainment and a problem. We suggest following this algorithm:

  1. Add up your essential monthly outgoings: housing, food, transport, utilities, medicines, debt repayments.
  2. From what is left over, set aside the amount you are prepared to spend on entertainment — cinema, restaurants, travel, games. Your gambling bankroll comes out of that category.
  3. Divide the bankroll by the number of sessions you have planned. The result is your limit for a single session.
  4. Stick to the limit even during a winning run. Withdraw anything above your starting bankroll straight away.
  5. Once the limit is used up, the session is over. Going back for more money is not acceptable.

The absence of these functions, or their incomplete implementation, is grounds for us to lower an operator's final score.

Protecting minors

Participation in gambling by anyone under 21 is unlawful. Parents and guardians are advised to take the following measures:

Where to turn for help

If you or someone around you feels a loss of control over gambling, do not put off contacting a specialist. Free international support is provided by Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy. In Ukraine, help is available from specialist psychological centres and addiction helplines. Admitting the problem means taking the first and hardest step towards solving it.
